Refund policy
1. Scope
This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made via www.protesca.com.
ProTesCa sells exclusively to business customers (B2B). By placing an order, the customer confirms acting as an entrepreneur within the meaning of §14 BGB.
2. Standard Return Period
Returns must be requested within 14 calendar days after receipt of goods.
Return requests must be submitted in writing to:
Returns sent without prior written approval will not be accepted.
3. Return Eligibility Conditions
Returned goods must:
- Be unused and uninstalled
- Be in original condition
- Be complete (including all accessories and documentation)
- Be in original packaging
- Include proof of purchase (invoice number)
ProTesCa reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions.

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Inspection & Commercial Obligation to Inspect
In accordance with §377 HGB, business customers must inspect delivered goods immediately upon receipt.
Visible defects, transport damage, or incorrect deliveries must be reported in writing within:
- 48 hours for transport damage
- 5 working days for other visible defects
Failure to notify within this period may result in loss of warranty claims.
6. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are excluded from return:
- Custom-manufactured products
- Special orders / OEM-configured screen baskets
- Installed or used separator components
- Chemicals and consumables (e.g., enzymatic products)
- Perishable goods
- Hazardous materials
- Sale items
- Gift cards
7. Exchanges
As ProTesCa operates an industrial B2B model, exchanges are handled via:
- Return of approved goods
- Separate new order placement
This ensures transparent invoicing and accounting compliance.
8. EU Cooling-Off Rights
The statutory 14-day consumer withdrawal right does not apply, as ProTesCa sells exclusively to business customers (B2B).
9. Refunds
Once returned goods are received and inspected, ProTesCa will confirm approval in writing.
If approved:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Processing time: up to 10 business days
- Banking settlement times may vary depending on the financial institution
